Our family provides personalized legal services for your family.
Advocating For Families Since 1979.
We bring a different meaning to the term “Family Law”. For most people, and almost all attorneys, the term “Family Law” means divorce, custody and all the aspects of the break-up of a family. We recognize that while that is a major reality for many families, families deal with many other issues, both joyous and, yes, gut-wrenching. We have both been through the divorce process and certainly appreciate the often sad, gut-wrenching aspects of divorce, as it is not what you had planned.
We strive to bring a “holistic”, pragmatic approach to the needs of a family. If divorce advocacy is sought, we bring the experience gained from thousands of divorce cases to the table and also bring assistance in addition to the litigation aspects of a divorce action - planning for a special needs child, addressing how a party will survive on limited resources, etc. There are aspects ingrained in divorce actions that must be addressed that are in addition to the “legal” formalities of a divorce.
Families also may need assistance in starting a business, buying a house, dealing with contracts, exploring the options of Estate planning, drafting Wills and Trusts or probating the Wills of deceased loved ones. Often these various options have an interplay that is missed by someone who specializes in only one area of the law. While specialization is important, a broad based knowledge and experience can be the solution a family needs.
We recognize that the most important skill we can bring to a client is the ability to listen, assess and then provide what people and families need most: STRESS RELIEF. You will not be our first rodeo. We are experienced in both law and life.
If you are in a situation where pragmatic help and assistance from experienced lawyers, experienced people, is needed, give us a call to discuss your options.
“Those who make divorce about winning and losing are often allowing the pain and emotion of divorce to cloud their judgment.
Instead, focus on the future and where you want to be when it is all over.”
– Laura M. D’Orsi, Esq.
