I doubt anyone starts a divorce thinking they are going to trail. I know I didn't. When I first met with Laura I wanted a good attorney to represent my interest and help me negotiate a reasonable settlement with my ex. In the end my divorce was very complicated and stressful taking over 2.5 years to conclude at trial. From the beginning Laura did her best to negotiate a settlement with my ex. Throughout the negotiations Laura always had very detailed answers to my questions. I can tell you that Laura's recommendations and legal advice were always spot on, no matter how hard it was for me to hear sometimes. When issues became complicated, Laura would always take the time to explain what I needed and wanted to know. At mediation Laura aggressively defended me for 12 straight hours achieving a temporary agreement that was instrumental in winning the case at trial. Miss Hoskins initially reviewed, with me, the petition for divorce that the ex filed. She then explained to me in non-legal speak what the petition meant. She was empathetic about my situation but was quick to offer options to respond to the petition. She conferred with Mr. Weegar about putting a response to the courts together and was adamant about precise language to assure the document was indisputable

My nightmare divorce has been going on for 4 1/2 years. Had an attorney for the first two but he withdrew because I ran out of money. So I've been on my own (pro se) for the rest of the time…Laura has been one of my TOP "responders" and she is SO incredibly supportive and encouraging. My divorce was a complete and total nightmare that took about two years to complete. People around me were even comparing it to a soap opera because it was so ridiculous and time consuming. Laura Hoskins and Earl Morris were the ONLY and I mean ONLY attorneys that were able to actually get me divorced and to handle my ex spouse. When I came to Laura, I was at my wits end. I had two previous attorneys that had tried and failed to get my short marriage with no children dissolved. She and Earl were the only ones able to do this. Divorce is always stressful, but I felt that mine was made especially so because for personal reasons mine had to take place very quickly. Laura made it all happen somehow and I was especially impressed with how she handled herself with the judge when he threw us a curveball when he made a ruling based on his own misinterpretation of how he had read the background check information. I almost had a heart attack, but Laura was able to sort it all out quickly and calmly explained to the judge how he had made his mistake, the judge apologized and all was well! If you want a tough courtroom advocate combined with someone who treats you with compassion and caring, Laura will fit your needs perfectly! I cannot thank this wonderful woman enough!

I have always refused to sling mud during what has been a nightmare custody battle. I believe that taking the higher road is what will ultimately win in a situation where ultimately everyone especially the children lose. Laura fights an honest and ethical fight. I believe that because of this she is highly regarded with our local judicial "team". With her help, I can walk away from this knowing that if my children ever decide to when old enough go through all of these court records that I will not be ashamed. Laura is honest and will always act in good faith. I had huge respect for her and trust her completely with what is more important to me than anything else in the world, my children. One day they too will thank her.

I had a free phone consultation with Laura concerning my divorce, I followed that up with an in office consultation and after she heard my story, and I hearing her advice, I retained Laura as my divorce attorney. Laura explained what was going to happen and I had stated that I wanted to expedite the proceedings. From start to finish I was divorced by the judge's signature in less than 2 months!!! She was in touch via email, text, and phone through the entire process, answering all my questions along the way. Laura Hoskins, is amazing. I came to her simply asking her to help me. My previous counsel, more than dropped the ball. Coming to Ms. Hoskins, I was paying under a temp order (Cherokee County) more than half of my take home pay in child support and alimony. Now, today with her help, I sit here with what is essentially an ananomily of an outcome, considering the usual Divorcing father's "punishment" from Georgia Courts. Knowing the way my case was originally handled and seeing nothing but financial ruine and losing any chance of being a father to my son, I was placed in the capable hands of Ms Hoskins… I will be forever grateful to her…

Today, I have liberal parenting time & the ability to focus on moving forward rather than scraping money together to keep from facing Contempt Charges. Today, I choose when I have time with my son and have most of the summer and equal holiday time. Through mediation the tables turned and I don't pay alimony, and my over all payments are a third of what they were under the temp order.
